As I've mentioned in a couple of previous posts I'm a Bzz Agent, which involves spreading honest "Bzz" (basically info/opinions) about certain products that I'm sent to try out.. This time's a little different though. In order to be one of the first to try the Braun Silk-epil 7 dual epilator I'm required to share some information about it before they at the Bzz HQ decide who to send them to!
Today's snippet
...
"The Braun Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator is the world's first epilator with integrated Gillette Venus Technology, combining the best of epilation and shaving."
Exciting (as hair removal can be...), yes?!
I feel my current epilator isn't the best so it would be great to try a new, higher level model to see if there's any difference. Have you tried epilating?

I've never tried an epilator I always imagined it word hurt too much. How much does it hurt?
I think it depends on how well you cope with pain.. I'd say my pain threshold is relatively high and I manage ok. There are things you can do to make it hurt less though, epilating when your hair is as short as your epilator will allow is a good way of reducing the pain, and epilators you can use in water can also make it more comfortable apparently! It's a little bit like being pinged with a small elastic band I guess..! You definitely get used to it though :)
Thats good to know that you get used to it. I think I have a high pain threshold but don't want to spend £30 on something I'm gonna hate, lol! Maybe I'll invest in one can you can use in water then, see if I like it. I want something that last longer than shaving :)
I have one and its one of the higher end ones and still misses some hairs:/ As for pain, I think it depends on the person but the 1st time hurts SO bad! Now i can do it no problem and no pain but the hairs that remain irritate me so bad.
I love my epilator. It's worked out much cheaper in the long run, as I don't have to keep buying razor heads! I agree with Ivonne, it does hurt like crazy the first time, but I'm definitely used to it now. I've noticed a big difference in the length and thickness of my hair too. I'm a definite convert!
