When this arrived yesterday I was pretty intrigued by it, and looking forward to trying it out... Until my brother exclaimed "Oh! The thingy with the scrublet" I looked at him curiously (and mocked him a little too) and he told me it had an advert that's been around for a while. To be honest, that put me off a little, in my head I labelled it as something that they'd designed purely for the novelty factor and it'd be useless, but I'm so impressed with this!
L'Oreal say:
Our new way to cleanse!
Deep pore cleansing.
Perfect Clean changes the face of cleansing with the Scrublet™, a soft & flexible cleansing brush. Perfect Clean gently removes dirt, oil & make-up for a deep pore cleansing experience. This formula is suitable to all skin types. Gently cleansed and exfoliated, your skin is left soft and smooth.
It smells gorgeous! It's definitely a tropical fruity smell which makes a change from scents that can be overly sweet, or just non-descript, however I can't put my finger on the exact tropical fruit it smells of!
This gives a really gentle exfoliating wash, definitely gentle enough for everyday use, which is exactly what I was hoping for (I have Soap and Glory's Scrub of Your Life for a slightly more hardcore exfoliator!)
The scrublet works really nicely, it makes it much easier to exfoliate problem areas rather than trying to focus lots of beads onto say your nose, or your chin, which never goes as planned! The main problem is that the rubber-y material of the scrublet itself makes it slightly slippery.
The idea is that you hold it using the stem between your index and middle finger and go round in a circular motion, which would, I'm sure, work really well if it wasn't for the fact that the wash lathers up, and then gets onto the back of the scrublet which makes it really slippery, I dropped it in the sink twice! However, with a slightly different technique to the one on the picture from L'Oreal, who recommend you just slide it between two fingers - with the pads of your fingers facing the scrublet- I use it like this:
It retails at £4.99 and they claim it has a shelf life of 6 months, which is a little on the short side if you're using it with something else, but better than my previous Angels On Bare Skin from Lush.
Overall, I'm really happy with this, it left my face really smooth and smelling lovely, and because of the scrublet you really only need a tiny amount of the face wash as it foams up so well. I can definitely see myself repurchasing this!
Have you tried L'Oreal's perfect wash? What is it that it smells of?! And any tips on how best to keep hold of that scrublet?
